A rainbow flag featured in a recent rally nationalist rally protesting the removal of a memorial plaque to a dubious WWII figure.
The organisers put a rainbow flag alongside the star of David on their rally poster, suggesting that both represented efforts to smear Lithuanian national heroes.
Why, in nationalist discourse, are LGBT people held to be enemies of the nation rather than part of it?
