Tomboy

A young family moves into a new neighbourhood and a 10-year-old named Laure deliberately presents as a boy named Mikhaël to the neighbourhood children. The film observes the ease with which Michaël gets along with 10-year-old Lisa, a predominantly male group of local pre-teens, his younger sister and his parents.

It is a film about childhood play and first love, focusing in on the significance of gender identity in social interaction from an early age.
