Nordic-Baltic Queer Festival Network

Together with our Nordic partner festivals MIX Copenhagen (Denmark), Oslo/Fusion (Norway), Cinema Queer (Sweden), Vinokino (Finland), and Faroe Islands Minority Film Festival (Faroe Islands) we are excited to start a new networking initiative. Over the course of 12 upcoming months we will run a number of exchanges in the region and a joint forum in Vilnius.

The initiative is a network of the main well established Nordic and Baltic festivals, focusing on queer topics and using film as the central medium. It is shaped as a response to the lack of ties and communication in the field and is the first and long-awaited initiative of the kind. The network is aimed at increasing contacts between the festivals, creating a platform to exchange experiences and local trends, learn from each other, involve each other in own initiatives and create common content.

The initiative is partially supported by the Nordic Culture Point, Norway Grants, and Danish Cultural Institute.
