We are happy to curate a short film programme at the Riga International Short Film Festival 2ANNAS, which will contain some of the best queer shorts from “Kreivės” 2018–2021.
Getting into a fight, refusing to fight, running away when it seems that the whole world turns against you, owning your body, your memories and feeling free. Carefully selected from the past few years, these five award winning short films touch upon various queer identities and stories. They document and explore the many ways of experiencing gender and sexuality. Containing a lot of openness, love, struggle, (not) fitting in and attempts to accept the other, these stories delicately reveal how the community is built and what challenges it faces.
