With captivating energy, the film delves into a passionate love story, elevating the personal to the universal by touching upon the climate crisis. It was a brave \u2013 and at times haunting \u2013 journey that we all felt was as enjoyable as it was important.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jury\u2019s Special Mention \u2013 Mud Under My Window (dir. Violette Delvoye)<\/strong><br \/>\nThe animation \u201cThe mud under my window\u201d tells a knotty story about love, rage and sadness in queer family relations. We appreciated the melancholic visual language, delicate storytelling techniques, and fragile narrative addressing mental health and complex feelings from a child\u2019s perspective.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jury\u2019s Special Mention and Audience Award \u2013 Gender Reveal (dir. Mo Matton)<\/strong><br \/>\nFor the queer joy found in de(con)struction of heteronormative narratives, genres and structures, that encourages us to come together in laughter and reclaim the act of celebration.<\/p>\n<p>The films were judged by<strong> Mant\u0117 Vali\u016bnait\u0117<\/strong>, film curator, film scholar, film critic,<strong> Augustas Gornatkevi\u010dius<\/strong>, theater director, lecturer, and <strong>Airi Triisberg<\/strong>, independent writer, curator, educator and organiser based in Tallinn.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Best Short Film \u2013 Water Sports (dir.
